Additional information, prescription writing, and payment methods

Our website shows the prices of surgical packages, maternity packages, and general services valid from February 1, 2024.

Our prices are for informational purposes only.

The prices for specialist examinations do not include the cost of other medical services (e.g., sample collection, injection administration, additional imaging examinations: X-ray, ultrasound, CT scans). The cost of sample collections during a specialist examination does not include the cost of histological examinations.

  • Specialist Examination/Consultation: For the first time, our patients need to schedule a specialist examination/consultation. The doctor will then record the complaint, inquire about the patient's history, may order further examinations, write prescriptions, and suggest therapy.
  • Follow-Up Examination: If the patient reappears for examination on the request of the specialist, either with the results of the examinations prescribed during the first specialist examination or as part of the therapeutic process, we speak of a follow-up examination. As a general rule (unless the treating doctor indicates otherwise), follow-up examinations should be conducted within 2 months after obtaining the results.

If the patient decides to come for the evaluation of the results after more than 2 months, it is considered a new specialist examination and not a follow-up examination. It is always recorded on the outpatient form if we expect the patient back for a follow-up examination within 2 months.

The price of surgeries and interventions does not include the cost of preoperative examinations, potentially necessary special equipment during surgery, and the postoperative care package.

The price of the first postoperative examination (usually including stitch removal) is included in the surgery cost. Subsequent checks closely related to the surgery are considered follow-up examinations.

If you require a medical report in a foreign language (English, Russian, or German), please indicate this to our staff when making an appointment, as preparing these involves an additional cost. The documents are prepared within 3-10 working days.

Prescription Writing

We can only prescribe a prescription to a patient who has already visited our institution and for whom the prescription has been previously prescribed. For more information: https://dunamedicalcenter.org/en/news/we-help-you-not-to-be-without-medicine

There is no extra cost for a prescription written during a specialised visit.

The cost for prescription writing outside a specialist consultation is 7,000 HUF.

Please note that prices may vary for international guests and patients without a Hungarian Public Health Insurance (TAJ) card.
