Resume
Memberships
  • Dr. Szabolcs Gáspár primarily deals with hip and knee joint problems, and prosthetic surgery and treats patients who have suffered musculoskeletal accidents.

  • In addition, he is a professional soldier and university lecturer who regularly attends national and international conferences to exchange knowledge and experience.

  • Dr. Szabolcs Gáspár puts this into practice with the following principles:

"The patient is always right, they should be questioned to tell you exactly what hurts, what their complaints are. This helps us to make the diagnosis." He believes it is also very important to explain to the patient exactly what the disease is, why it might have developed and how it will be treated. "I often find that patients come to the clinic with a complete picture of what is wrong with them, they have had several successful tests, but they don't understand what is wrong. But here there is time for all that. Patients who understand what their problem is will recover faster and easier."

  • Dr Szabolcs Gáspár also gained special professional experience on missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, where he worked as a trauma surgeon.

  • He also completed an internship at the Ambulance Service in his final year at Semmelweis University and worked as an ambulance doctor for an extra year. "It's worth a try for anyone involved in patient care. It is an interesting and rewarding experience to be an ambulance driver in Budapest."

  • In his spare time, he tries to spend as much time as possible with his family. His wife, two daughters and dog keep him in shape. He used to play sports regularly, playing basketball and fencing. "Now I'm back to regular exercise, I feel it relaxes and refreshes me. It also makes me feel fitter at work."

  • "A patient who understands what their problem is will recover faster and easier."
