I was born in 1961 in the Lebanese city of Baalbeck. I graduated in 1979. In 1980, I arrived in Hungary on a scholarship, where I first attended the International Preparatory Institute, then in 1981 I was admitted to the Faculty of General Medicine at the University of Debrecen. I was awarded my medical degree in 1987, and since then I have lived my life and pursued my career entirely in Hungary. In October 1987, I started working at the Urology Department of the Jósa András Hospital in Nyíregyháza, where I worked for more than three decades, providing outpatient and inpatient care. I obtained my specialist qualification in urology in 1991, and since then I have been continuously involved in the daily medical work of the field, as well as in the introduction of the latest technologies and procedures. From the beginning, my professional interests have focused on pediatric urology and incontinence treatment. In 1995, I took part in study trips to the Netherlands (Nijmegen) and England (Southampton, Leeds, Newcastle), where I had the opportunity to gain insight into the most advanced practices in pediatric urology. It is extremely important for me to keep up with developments in international urology. I regularly attend conferences and continuing education courses, and I have presented the surgical technique I developed for treating hypospadias in poster and video sections at five international conferences (twice in the US, France, Germany, and Hungary). Over the past decades, I have performed more than ten thousand urological surgeries, ranging from classic open procedures to laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques. I am particularly proud to have been the first in Hungary to perform TVT surgery on female patients with incontinence, as well as the first to use the Rezum procedure for the treatment of prostate enlargement in a private hospital.
